This little angel moves his head back and forth trying to keep his gaze on my black and white cards. I have him propped up on my legs facing me. I put the card directly in his gaze and move it slowly to one side. Then move it slowly to the other side.
At 3 weeks we did this about 4 or 5 times.

Mobil
Every time I change baby's diaper, she is placed under an adorable mobil that has black and white cards to get her attention. She usually cries during diaper changes. If I can get her to open her eyes and look, she begins to stare at the shapes, she stops crying and the rest of the diaper change becomes a joy.
She first noticed the mobil around week 2.

Flashlight
My first interactions with my baby were using a flashlight at nighttime.
1. Baby woke up hungry and I fed him.
2. He decided it was time to be awake.
3. I took a flashlight and moved it back and forth across the ceiling. He moved his head and watched the moving light!
Baby was 4 days old the first time we played flashlight.
